Alexandra Patricia Morgan, best known as Alex Morgan (Diamond Bar, California, United States; July 2, 1989) is an American footballer. She plays as a striker at Olympique Lyon in the top division of French women's football, Division 1 and also in the women's soccer team of the United States. Shortly after graduating early from the University of California, Berkeley, where she played for the women's soccer team, Morgan was drafted the overall number one in the 2011 WPS Project by the Western New York Flash. There, he made his professional debut and helped the team win the league championship. At 22, she was the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.
